The children's author David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Prolific writer for children and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the publisher said: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was taken subsequent to an review of claims about conduct deemed unsuitable towards women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, stating: "We do not comment on internal matters."
A Prolific Publishing History
Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, having sold over six tens of millions of copies internationally in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Several of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
He has published in excess of 40 works combined, which features a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.

He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
