Alarming Statistics of Users Now Use E-Cigarettes, Warns Global Health Authority
More than 100 million people, comprising at minimum 15 million minors, now use e-cigarettes, driving a fresh trend of nicotine habit, according to current international health findings.

E-cigarettes are fueling a "recent wave" of nicotine addiction, commented a prominent health official. "These devices are advertised as harm reduction but, actually, are hooking kids on nicotine at younger ages and threaten weakening generations of improvement."

"Millions of individuals are ceasing, or not taking up tobacco usage because of tobacco regulation efforts by states around the world," the official stated.
"As a reaction to this strong progress, the tobacco sector is fighting back with new nicotine devices, forcefully aiming at youth. Governments must respond quicker and more vigorously in applying tested tobacco-control regulations," he added.
The e-cigarette statistics are an estimate since numerous states - 109 in sum, and many in African and South-East Asia - fail to collect information.
Based on the study, as of recent February this year, at bare minimum 86 million e-cigarette consumers were mature individuals, mostly in developed countries.
And at minimum 15 million teenagers aged 13 and 15 already use e-cigarettes, based on research from 123 countries.
Even though many countries have made efforts to introduce e-cigarette rules to tackle child vaping in recent years, by the conclusion of 2024, 62 countries even now had no regulation in place, and 74 nations had no age limit at which e-cigarettes may be acquired, reports the public health body.
